A petite ca. 1710 walnut lowboy with an exceptionally fine top of book matched and highly figured burlwood, further enhanced by cross banding and exquisitely precise light wood string inlay that curves and loops over itself in the corners. The front has three drawers, all with attractive feather banding and good brass hardware. Legs are cabriole all the way around, each encircled by a carved ring and ending in pad feet. Good antique condition with a French polished surface, expected signs of age and varying degrees of worminess mainly to the legs, also somewhat evident in the case and drawers.
