A very fine Charles X mirror, ca. 1830-1850. The quality of the applied composition ornament is very good and highly detailed: tight garlands and rosettes anchor outwardly scrolling festoons of acanthus at the sides, with similar elements filling the corners. Original mercury glass mirror plate. Very good condition- normal signs of age, rubbing to the gilding, variation, imperfections and patina to the surface.
