George II Period Walnut and Parcel Gilt Mirror with Pedimented Top, 18th Century
George II Period Walnut and Parcel Gilt Mirror with Pedimented Top, 18th Century
$0.00
A late George II period mirror, ca. 1760, retaining much of its original gilding on the carved moulding surrounds and pediment. Egg and dart, foliage, flowers and fruit pendants at the sides, and foliate festooned architectural elements in the swan neck broken pediment all enliven the stately figured walnut frame. Good antique condition, good French polished finish to the walnut, with moderate wear, signs of age to the gilded surfaces. Mirror plate has been replaced.
