A small French provincial buffet cabinet with a jaunty presence and good carved details: attractively shaped paneled doors with scrolls, and an apron embellished with a large carved sunflower rosette. The piece is supported by deeply carved cabriole legs with scroll feet in front and squared stile legs in the back. Two drawers are tucked into the panels above the cabinet doors. Oak and fruitwood, early 19th century. Good antique condition, one shelf inside, original hardware, working lock and key, small areas of restoration, some old dark stains to the top, once fitted to hold a television, so the back has a small replaced panel that once accommodated the depth of the television.
