A good size four drawer chest of drawers of gorgeous and highly prized bird’s eye maple with light tiger graining to the drawers and top, standing on turned legs. The graduated drawer fronts show bird’s eye timber in contrast with more pronounced tiger timber in the drawer dividers and shaped apron. Early 19th century, Pennsylvania or more northern New England. Brass drawer hardware is very good quality and of appropriate form, but is later.
