Two fine 18th century engravings after original drawings by the 17th century French artist Claude Lorrain, from the collection of the Duke of Devonshire. Depicted are bucolic scenes of country and coastal life rendered in painterly sepia wash coloring on wove paper. The release of these engravings, etched by Robert Earldom and published by John Boydell, was in 1775.
