A fine serpentine shaped fender with a brass latticework grille set between mouldings of polished steel, and resting on bun feet. There is a heavy duty cast iron spark guard that is fitted into the back, to prevent sparks from blowing under the fender. Fantastic quality, very elegant, ca. 1900. Provenance: private collection at Ayrshire Farm, Upperville, VA. Good antique condition with patina to the brass, some light oxidation to the steel front, more signs of age and use to the inside portions.
