Small French Provincial Elm Cabinet, 19th Century
Small French Provincial Elm Cabinet, 19th Century
$2,950.00
This unusually small cabinet is constructed of warm honey colored elmwood, with its graceful distinctive attenuated grain pattern. An inlaid contrasting star and a sideways diamond on the lovely shaped apron add to the French provincial charm. Cabriole legs support the case. Original large polished steel hinges and escutcheon plates. No key (unlocked). A shelf inside together with the bottom of the case make 2 shelves for storage. Good antique condition with some signs of age, light wear, mainly to the top: indentations, typical marks, worm holes, old scratches that have been polished over. Later polished finish. Very sturdy.
