A very good pair of English mahogany benches with blind fret carved legs connected by unusually complex open fretwork Chinese Chippendale stretchers. Freshly upholstered in a chic caramel tan woven fabric and further embellished with handsome brass rosette form tacks. Comfortably padded seats. Sturdy, in good antique condition with signs of age use, artisanal irregularities, antique patina, polished and waxed. Ca. late 18th century.
