Pair of Porcelain Chickens, Probably French Samson
Pair of Porcelain Chickens, Probably French Samson
$0.00
A charming pair of polychrome and gilt chickens, both with Chelsea style gold anchor marks, probably Samson, late 19th century or early 20th century. Samson, a Parisian porcelain firm, made versions of several English porcelain styles as well as copies of Chinese export, going so far as to copy the marks associated with the originals, in this case copying an 18th century mark of the Chelsea porcelain factory.
