A very fine and large Rose Canton Chinese Export porcelain platter decorated in a fresh and bright palette of greens, turquoise, orange and pink with a gilt edged ogival medallion in the center. A cousin of the more common Rose Medallion pattern, Rose Canton abounds in birds, butterflies, fruit ands flowers abound in the paradisiacal scenery. Very good antique condition with light wear, mainly to the gilt rim. No marks, as is to be expected of a piece of this date. Mid 19th century.
