An exquisitely decorated teapot, with decoration attributed to Helena Wolfsohn, with charming scenes in the 18th century manner depicting young people with a sheep and a goat painted with outstanding technical skill,. The unusual pale periwinkle glazed body is also gilded, both with flat gilding and built up gilt design framing the vignettes. Wolfsohn purchased porcelain blanks made in Meissen to decorate. Her studio was so successful that it exported wares regularly to England. Excellent condition. Ca. 1850-1860. No marks.
