$0.00
A striking English mirror, ca. 1810-1820, the circular frame surmounted by a ripple carved coquillage element dripping with fanciful carved waterfalls, joined to the frame by boldly carved acanthus leaves which are mirrored by similar elements at the sides and below. The cavetto of the two tone gilt frame is enlivened by low relief gilt acanthus composition ornament and pearl beading and a final ring of ebonized reeded moulding. Original mercury glass. Typical wear to the gilding, overglazing of part of the cavetto gilding, achieving the two tone effect.
