A very refined and stylish Georgian linen press, ca. 1780’s, the top section surmounted by a scrolled pediment enclosing remarkable carved filigree, resting atop a fine cornice and frieze of taut Neoclassical carving: bulls’-eye and fluted elements, beneath ogee form dentils. The timber of the cabinet doors is wonderfully figured and book matched. Inside are two linen slides. Original hardware.
