American Federal Mid-Atlantic Inlaid Mahogany Chest of Drawers

A handsome and large American Hepplewhite chest of drawers, each drawer front featuring finely grained mahogany with decorative triple line stringing, the largest top drawer being the highlight, with double ellipses of the same triple stringing. The piece rests on outswept French feet with a bow shaped apron. Brasses are old, but somewhat later: pulls are larger than the originals of the same shape, all well polished. Good antique condition, with a very nice finish, some small restorations, imperfections, mainly to the edge of the apron and feet. Retains original back boards. Early 19th century.
