From the work published in 1757: Les Délices Des Yeux et de L’Esprit or Collection Générale des Différentes Espèces de Coquillages Que La Mer Renfermé, by German naturalist and artist George Wolfgang Knorr (1705-1761) and drawn by Conrad Kleemann. These copper plate engravings on laid paper are all skillfully hand colored. In very good gilt wood frames with a taut acanthus leaf patterned moulding, double matted in cream and gold.
