A handsome pair of English Sheffield candelabra dating probably to the mid 19th century, with no maker’s marks as was typical for the time, but bearing initials F. N. clearly stamped inside one of the candle cups. Some copper shows, most notably on the bases, giving an authentic and elegant antique cast. The hefty center finial lifts out to provide a third candle cup if desired, or the candelabra arms can be lifted off completely to leave a pair of single candle stick holders. Good antique condition, polished with some patina, signs of age, occasional dings, one central candle cup restored, very sturdy.
