A very elegant biscuit box by the Sheffield silversmiths James Deakin and Sons, a firm established in 1866 and which produced sterling, traditional Sheffield plate and electroplated articles as that technology was widely adapted. This biscuit box is an example of the latter, dating to the 1890’s. Very good condition.
