An unusual and understated scalloped serpentine tea caddy in an early Georgian (early 18th century) style, with a wooden knob to the hinged lid. Once had a key. Unmarked, no evidence of wear through to another metal, but presumably plated on well matched white metal. Excellent condition, highly polished and lacquered so it will not need further polishing. A few small and subtle irregularities to the surface.
