A fine pair of polished brass andirons, composed of boldly turned round and faceted elements forming the standards, each resting on elegant paired scroll feet. The petaled form at the base of the standards is an unusual and interesting detail. Ca. mid 19th century. Good antique condition, with typical artisanal casting irregularities to the brass elements, some signs of age and use.
