A vintage tea canister lamp, hand painted with a very ornamental number “34” and embellished with decorative gilt bands at the top and bottom. This is a vintage item dating from the mid 20th century, in the style of 19th century English tea canisters which were very often very decorative. This one was antiqued to look older, so the irregularities in the finish are intentional distress, and very well done. Some minor denting at the back blends in very well with the antiqued finish. Nice turned wooden base. Good finish. New slubby linen texture drum shade.
