A stunning deep turquoise and white majolica centerpiece bowl, the tall central lilypad portion supported by flanking white egrets. The upswept sides of the large lily pad form a bowl that would be suitable to hold a flower arrangement or other decoration. Continental, heavy bodied eathenware, with visible handwork and tools marks on the inside of the foot, no makers’ marks. Probably late 20th/early 21st century. Many artisanal irregularities to the pottery and glazes, heavy craquelure in areas.
