Trio of Coalport Imari Porcelain Plates, Early 19th Century
$195.00
A charming trio of coordinating English Imari plates with gilding and with light blue and green details, Ca. 1810. The smaller pair are quite diminutive and rather cute. Designs in the Imari palette are hybrid Chinese inspired compositions. It Is typical for English porcelain of this date to be unmarked. Coalport porcelain comes from a pottery in Shropshire, founded ca. 1795. The earliest wares are unmarked, identified mainly by pattern and the raised foot, and are highly sought after by collectors. Good antique condition with typical light surface wear.
