A charming and varied set of antique English botanical decorated porcelain, made by Minton, founded in 1793 in Staffordshire, each piece with an abundance of butterflies and other insects adding interest. 12 dinner plates and four shallow soup bowls. All have gilt rims. There are seven different patterns represented: five with wild strawberries, three with purple flowers, three with daisies, two with different grasses and flowers and three with ivy, grasses and butterflies. These are transferware, augmented with hand painted details on each one, which makes each piece unique, with differences in both coloring and complexity. Pattern number G839 is hand painted on the back of each one. Late 19th century. Very good antique condition, colors are excellent, light wear.
