A striking and decorative pair of handsome brass bottle vases or flasks, originally oil lamps, fitted with intricate openwork fretwork bases. An alligator like lizard is wrapped around each. There is a screw cap at the top of each opening to a reservoir within. Would work well as mantel ornaments. Early to mid 20th century. Good antique condition, lacquered, light wear, minor tarnish, some thin stress cracks to the brass bodies.
