French-Made Chinese Export Style Porcelain Dessert Plates - Set of Nine

French-Made Chinese Export Style Porcelain Dessert Plates - Set of Nine

$695.00

An elegant set of nine plates suitable either for use or for display. The decoration combines blue reserves with gilded flourishes and a heraldic central cipher motif with rose garland guilloche borders in the restrained style developed in 18th century China, catering to Western European decorative tastes. These plates are French and date to the early or mid 20th century, made to order for the Dulin and Martin Co. in Washington D.C., which operated ca. 1905-1945. Good vintage condition with light wear mainly to the gilt ciphers.
