$1,495.00

A very fine Regency period English box of brass inlaid rosewood, with a fitted interior. The brass rinceaux inlay is in fantastic condition, polished and with no losses. The brass repoussé feet and ring pulls are are very decorative and detailed. Working lock and key are present. The interior is fitted for use as a jewelry box, lined with original robin’s egg blue paper and with beaded metal edging. The interior of the lid still has its original complex quilted silk surface, somewhat faded and with some losses, but not especially noticeable at a glance. Overall good very good antique condition with signs of age to the wood, and interior, a few dings, typical tight age separations along the wood grain. Ca. 1820.
