An unusual item, a two well inkstand with shallow tray in the front. Little sprigs of painted floral decoration endive the sides. One inkwell has blue ink stains, two stable hairlines, signs of age, and wear, small frits. Ca. late 18th century. Collection inventory number hand painted on the back, deaccessioned from the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Could be a used as a catchall “dish” or jewelry tray on a dressing table.
