A handsome scroll cut mirror frame with an abundance of carved and gilt ornament of both the incised and applied variety, in the mid 18th century manner. The incised sprig and florette carving at the top and bottom are a particularly nice and somewhat unusual feature. Late 19th century. Good condition with attractive signs of age, light wear to the gilding with hints of gesso showing. French polished finish.
