A handsome American mirror, the frame articulated with rows of composition moldings. Composition decoration was made of fine sawdust, pine resin and plaster, molded while fresh to form intricate architectural and decorative details, such as the pearl bead, florette, acanthus leaf, and anthemion moldings seen here. Good antique condition, nice patina, fitted with a later back board.
