A sporty early 19th century English Pembroke table with ebonized string inlay and turnings on the slim tapered legs, the top when fully open is slightly oval. Used as a side table with the leaves down, it is quite slim and versatile. The four legs terminate in brass casters for easy movement. A single drawer is fitted into one side, with an identical false drawer front on the opposite side. The center of the top is a particularly attractive highly figured single piece of mahogany. Good antique condition with signs of age and use, some ink stains, dark marks, partial rings and dings that give the surface character. Good French polished surface.
