An elegant pair of Dutch Rococo elmwood chairs, inlaid across the backs and around the seat rails with exuberant yet subtle foliate and floral marquetry, the splats further embellished with vases and birds. The stretchers are studies in elegant line, curving in and arching up in the center like an archer’s bow. In good sturdy structural shape, these chairs have had restorations to some of the marquetry, especially along the seat rail of one chair.
