M Van Kempen, 1886, these salt and peppers are delightfully decorated with scenes of summer and winter: fishing and ice skating vignettes are worked into the exuberant foliate decoration. Also bearing the lion passant Dutch assay mark for the .833 silver standard traversed by a key indicating that they were made for export.
