Pair of Rococo White Porcelain Figural Groups
Pair of Rococo White Porcelain Figural Groups
$795.00
A delightful pair of Italian Capodimonte all white porcelain figures of 18th century Rococo style courting couples- each is a complex composition of palm trees, flowers, vines and sheep. These date ca. late 19th/early 20th century. The porcelain manufactory of Capodimonte was first established in 1743, and various later porcelain makers in the Naples area later also claimed the name and mark of an “N” with a crown over it. The all white palette and 18th century inspiration was typical of 19th century wares. Good condition with a few subtle restorations to palm fronds, light wear to tips and edges.
