A full Italian conch shell with beautiful orange coloring, carved in cameo with a scene of the harbor of Naples, complete with an umbrella pine and a sail boat against a backdrop of the buildings along the shore line. The shell is mounted on a handsome turned mahogany base and it is cleverly electrified to light up the shell from the interior. The shell turns on the base to the desired angle. Fitted with a switched cord. Good antique condition, very slight chipping to the top of the shell at the back. Early 20th century.
