A sturdy black painted and gilt decorated tôle serving tray, English or American, dating to the late 19th century. Designs are fanciful Victorian Rococo, and feature birds and flowers amidst painted trellises and exuberant asymmetrical acanthus cartouches. Very good antique condition, minor losses to the paint/gilding around the edge, good varnished surface.
