A very fine Chinese export polychrome decorated heavy bodied bowl in the charming gilt highlighted butterfly pattern. The rim has a wide and very brightly gilded band both inside and out, with Famille Rose decoration below composed of sprawling detailed rose bouquets surrounded by fluttering butterflies and other insects.
