A set of five boldly colored and very well framed chromolithographs from L’Illustration Horticole, published in Ghent by Jean Jules Linden, a horticulturist who continued the work of another eminent botanical expert who had previously published the work. The richly colored plates were published between 1869 and 1896, celebrating the discovery of new varieties and discoveries of previously unknown plants that fascinated the well-to-do of the era. Includes Dianthus, Begonia, Begonia Tubereux, Vanda Sanderiana Orchid, Chrysanthemums.
