A sporty and classic English Regency Period mahogany hall chair with a round seat and turned and tapered front legs. The chair back is very decorative, with carved reeded fretwork surrounding an oval plaque containing a painted rampant goat surmounted by a gilt coronet. The seat is painted with a matching slate grey and ochre rondel. Early 19th century. Good antique condition with signs of age and light use, some dings, good finish.
