A good size American Chippendale three over four drawer chest of drawers of highly prized tiger maple timber standing on tall and well shaped bracket feet with notably tightly scrolled spurs. The graduated drawer fronts show off the handsome timber. Late 18th century, northern New England. Brass drawer hardware is very good quality and of appropriate form, but is later. Attractive patina with some dark contrast in the moldings and around the hardware. Good antique condition, with normal signs of age, some sporadic losses to the drawer edges.
