Probably Irish, a very handsome pair of leather armchairs of very attractive proportions on the smaller side. These are a comfortable pair of antique tub chairs upholstered in a vintage dark coffee colored leather with brass tacks. The legs are well carved in the George II manner with acanthus and flower heads accenting the knees and the front feet are carved into Baroque dolphin heads. Ca. 1860-1880. Sturdy condition with the leather in mostly good vintage condition, some marks and scratches, craquelure, one split to a seat.
