A small New England Federal Period tilt top candle stand table with an oblong top with rounded inset corners, resting on a turned baluster giving way to the tripod base with three outswept legs terminating in slipper feet. The top has good rich color and is nicely grained. Two dark scorch marks belie the original use of the table. Overall, good antique condition, good finish, polished and waxed. Typical signs of age to the base, a few dark scuffs and dings. Late 18th century.
