Large English Staffordshire Platter with Green Glaze (Fleurs-de-Lys)

Large English Staffordshire Platter with Green Glaze (Fleurs-de-Lys)

0.00

An early 19th century creamware platter with a variation on the more common “shell edge” moulded rim decoration: a bell flower chain and and low relief fleurs-de-lys which conforms to the nicely shaped contours of the platter. The green glaze is also a more rare variant on the typical blue coloration on this kind of Staffordshire serve ware.
